We're half way there; two fashion weeks down, two to go. As Milan gets under way, we look back on London Fashion Week's live streaming from this season.

45 shows live streamed this season, all of which were broadcasted on the London Fashion Week website, and most of which were provided by the British Fashion Council. Last season only 28 live streamed, while in Spring/Summer 42 live streamed, which just goes to show the progress London Fashion Week have made in the last six months with broadcasting shows.
In terms of new shows, we welcomed back Vivienne Westwood Red Label, Temperley and House of Holland. Also new this season was Hunter Original which seemed to be a popular addition. Shows such as Mary Katrantzou and Peter Pilotto, both of which have progressed from showing at Topshop's venue were back live streaming again, while Burberry stole the show - as always.
I've been vocal about the lack of live streaming from London. They were the first to really embrace live streaming, so when they lost their way it really bothered me. I'm glad they've finally addressed the lack of live streaming. They simply have to if they want to hold their own against the other three fashion weeks.
The live streams London offers are very low-fi - while New York has crane-mounted HD cameras panning around the showspace, London has a fixed SD camera in the photographers' pit. The live streams are pretty flat now when you compare with Milan and New York, so I hope they start using the technology available to them soon.
Overall, a good season, I just hope London can build on this momentum and offer a world-class live stream like they used to before New York realised the potential.
Next up, Milan. I'm happy to say we're live streaming four shows; Emilio Pucci, Alberta Ferretti, John Richmond and Moschino. Elsewhere, expect the status-quo - Milan is one of the most reliable in terms of live streaming.
